Notes:
-
This page is being updated
on 3-23-06, so there'll be a lot more pictures for the next update!
-
It's nice to be at the
point where I have to actually start buying things such as the
battery!
-
You may notice the picture
quality is not as good as usual... Can you believe I actually forgot
to bring my camera for this trip? I had to go out and buy one of
those disposable cameras.
-
At the time the pictures
were taken, Joe was installing the windows. As it stands now,
all glass is in except for one rear quarter glass.
-
All of the molding is on.
-
Ran out of speckle paint
for the trunk for the pictures, but it's finished now.
-
Working on the engine
compartment, the correct intake (Edlebrock Performer RPM) is on now.
-
The headliner is hanging
to get the wrinkles out.
-
The car has been wheeled
out... The only items that need to be wet sanded and wheeled out are
the fenders (those will be done when the car is finished).
-
I picked up some old
school aluminum Mickey Thompson valve covers from EBay... I got really
lucky on the cost!!!
What is hopefully going to be
accomplished in the next week:
-
The dash and all it's
pieces are back, I will be putting it together and taking it to Joe's.
-
I'm getting the ribs, the
"M/T" and the rectangular space polished on the valve
covers. When I get them back, I will tape off the polished areas
and paint them Pontiac blue to match the engine. I'm debating
what emblem (Trunklid "GTO", front grille
"GTO", rocker "400" or "6.5 Litre"
emblem) to put on the rectangular area.
-
Hoping to start the
car. The gas tank is in with 5 gallons of Premium, lines hooked
up and the core support is in with the radiator. There's too
many things installed now to list!
