"Body & Soul"

Notes:

• The body is back!  I'm not completely happy about the results (missed spots), but it's workable.  At least it's finally only one color!

• Joe got involved in a garage project gone out of control, so he didn't work on the car this week.  I'm not crackin' the whip yet, there's still plenty of time before spring.  It still should be painted/assembled/running by the end of February.  There will be little things to take care of, but nothing major.

• The engine is back!  Now this was a surprise... They said 2 & 1/2 weeks, it was done in a week.  I have a carb, but not the intake as of yet.  I will be borrowing an intake (the same make/model that I hope to buy) to mock up the engine to see if there will be any clearance issues.  There shouldn't be, but I'll have to get a low-profile air cleaner.  The final version of this web page will include pictures of the engine and trans before they were redone.

• I dropped off the transmission & clutch.  I called to find out where the headers were... The weren't shipped, they will be shipped on Monday.  I broke down and am shipping the dash tach back and replacing it with a hood tach (might as well do it now instead of in a year).  It will be shipped on Monday as well.

• I picked up the final brake line parts (all stainless) and dropped them off.

• Hopefully by next Friday the drivetrain should be on the chassis.
