"The frame is blasted & painted"

.

Notes:

  • The frame is back from being blasted and has been painted.  As a plus, the guy who blasted the frame said that he's never seen one in this good of condition.  Hearing that was some stress relief!

  • More pics of the rot that was under the chrome molding below the windshield.

  • The interior is gutted about as far as it can go.  The shell goes in for media blasting this week.  We're cruisin' now!

  • The fender was off a junk car that I bought in 1989.  It was media blasted & primered/sealed back in 1998.  I knew about the rot.  I have a patch panel for it so it's no big deal.

The schedule for this week:

  • Shell goes in for blasting.

  • Frame gets assembled (will be a rolling frame) with the power disc (front only) conversion kit.  The new stainless lines (from Inline Tube) will be installed.

  • The 12-bolt 3.73 posi rear end that I picked up will be installed.

  • The RH door skin arrived and will be installed (waiting on LH to arrive).  Afterwards the door will be finished & in primer.

  • The patch panel will be put on the one fender (the other doesn't need one).  The fenders will be worked on and in primer.

  • The new valance panel should be in primer.
