"Rear end and door skins."

.

Notes:

  • The chassis isn't rolling yet (due to some unforeseen issues), but should be by the 19th.  Joe did install the polyurethane bushings in the control arms.

  • The door skin is on the passenger's side, but the back side of the door frame needs to be blasted/patched.

  • PY (actually their supplier) shipped a '68 driver's side door skin.  Since the '68s have a vent window, the patch panel has a ledge for it, which blocks the '69s full window.  This is no big deal, it can be chopped out easily enough.  The big deal is that since the '68 had a vent window, the mirror is mounted further back than the '69.  I will check with PY if they can drop ship the correct panel before the '68 panel gets shipped back.  If they can't, then due to time constraints, Joe will just patch the holes for the mirror and put them in the correct location.

  • The rear end is about ready for blasting/painting.  Actually by the time this is posted on the web site, it should already be done.  I did check to see if the gears were in good shape.  They looked great!  Specs: GM 12 bolt 3.73 posi.

  • I picked up the final gas line, so the entire brake and gas lines are new (stainless).  The engine is now in the shop, the transmission is in the shop, I will be heading over to the radiator shop on Monday and ordering the Centerforce II clutch on Tuesday (hopefully).  Everything should be back and installed on the rolling chassis before the body goes back on.  The body will probably be going back on the frame during the second week of January.  If it's later... no big deal!

  • The body goes to the media blasting shop on the 18th.  While it's in the shop, Joe will work on  the following items: The chassis, doors, fender wells, fenders, valance panel and hood.
