Notes:
-
The web page hasn't been
updated in about a month due to numerous issues that slowed the
project down. I'm happy to say that things are picking back up.
-
You'll note that the car
is not painted yet. Joe and I looked the car over (he was going
to paint today) Friday night. He has gotten the hood scoops to
line up 20 time better, but after a long discussion, we both decided
that they could fit better. I told Joe to hold off on painting
the car for another week. Let's see what happens...
-
Joe has been smoothing out
the inner rear quarter panel.
-
Some areas will need to be
blasted and primed.
-
Now for my own little
hell... For the past month I have been trying to get the correct
vinyl dye for the interior (always out of stock). After spraying
the dash, panels and other miscellaneous items with the substitute dye
I used, I decided that I did not like the results... Back to the
drawing board. I was finally able to get the correct dye on
Friday. Today I was able to re-shoot everything. If you
look at the picture with the rear arm rests on one of the seats,
you'll see that it's a pretty close match. The last dye that I
used was nowhere near the same shade as the seats.
What is hopefully going to be
accomplished this week:
-
Joe is going to work on
the hood scoops more.
-
Hopefully the rest of the
car will be ready for paint. Due to the amount of work that
appears to be needed, I would figure that it will be at least another
week (probably two or more) to get the car ready for paint.
-
Dash assembly (sound
familiar?).
-
Hopefully I'll be able to
work on the steering column.
